Being from Liverpool and the same age as the members of the Beatles gave us a certain spurious fame in the big outside world in the sixties. Some of us can point to an even closer connection. Any more claims, however oblique, would be welcome. For example, my sister knew a teacher who advised Cynthia Powell not to have anything to do with that John Lennon - he'll never amount to anything. | ||
